Refund and Returns Policy

Returns for credit policy

The Battery Base carefully inspects all items for visible defects prior to shipping.
We strongly suggest you personally inspect the items upon receipt of your goods for any damage or visible defects, and notify us without delay should the need arise.
Products to be returned for credit must be returned in a as new condition with all packaging in a re-saleable as new condition.
No refunds will be processed under $10.00 amount.
We are not required to provide a refund or replacement if you change your mind.

We process all refunds using the same method as your original payment method. ANZ eGate ( Visa / Mastercard ), Afterpay, PayPal facilities or Direct Deposit.
When issuing a refund for the following reasons, change of mind, item not required or purchases made in error, a refund fee will be charged, as we incur commercial refund transaction fees from our merchant facilities and shipping costs.
The fixed fee portion of the commercial transaction fee will be retained plus any shipping fees we have incurred.

You can choose a refund or exchange at no cost to you when:
• The product shown has been misrepresented or has misinformation.

• Is deemed to be unsafe.

• The product is faulty or damaged upon arrival.
• is significantly different from the sample or description.

Alternatively, you can choose to keep the item and we will compensate you for any drop in value.
If the problem is not major, we will repair the item within a reasonable time. If it is not repaired in a reasonable time you can choose a refund or replacement.
Please keep your proof of purchase—e.g. your receipt.
If within 7 days you are dissatisfied for any reason with your products, you may return your purchase for a refund of the merchandise value.
Refunds on shipping and handling are credited only if the wrong product was shipped, the product was damaged, or shipped incorrectly and the error was ours.
Otherwise, shipping charges are non-refundable. We cannot be held liable for any items lost in transit by mail or courier.
Please use a secure and insured delivery service when returning an order. The Battery Base cannot accept responsibility for items not received.

If approved, The Battery Base will choose to issue your refund by Cheque, Paypal refund or Direct Deposit.

The Battery Base sells a wide variety of products, many of which come with a warranty against defects provided by the manufacturer of the product.
The product purchased by you is warranted against defects under the terms of the manufacturer’s warranty, if any, displayed on or provided with the product.
However, if there is no manufacturer’s warranty or if that warranty does not comply with Australian law, The Battery Base provides a warranty against defects for 6 months from date of purchase.
To make a claim, return the product, with a copy of your invoice. We advise to speak to us prior to sending your goods to seek correct warranty information.
Please use a secure and insured delivery service when returning an order. The Battery Base cannot accept responsibility for items not received.
You are responsible for the cost of shipping the product back to us.
For valid claims, The Battery Base will replace the product free of charge.
The warranty excludes defects from after sale damage, neglect, abuse or incorrect installation.

The benefits of this warranty are in addition to any other rights and remedies available at law.
Our products for sale come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss of damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
A refund will only be considered where The Battery Base are unable to supply a replacement unit of an equal or similar quality product.

All published web pricing is discounted below recommended retail prices.

Freight Insurance

Some couriers offer complimentary product indemnity insurance, however, this is a limited policy and not always sufficient to cover the purchase price of your order.
We will notify you when this complimentary insurance does not cover the cost of your order and suggest you take out further cover.
It will be your choice to take out further cover should you choose to.
Should you wish to take out insurance this will be invoiced by us and paid for by you on a separate tax invoice.
If you choose not to take out insurance to cover the cost of your purchase, The Battery Base will not be liable for the loss/cost of replacing the damaged goods or shipping costs.
